The Parable of the Dominos

Most of us have experience of lining up one domino to knock down two, and then those two knock down three, and those three knock down four, and so on…

This is the parable of the dominos.

This is happening through the Enjoying Jesus Course.

We started building the very first Enjoying Jesus cohort with 3 people: Jackson, Morgan, & Margaret. These 3 people invited 8 more. So we had 11 people in the first cohort of Enjoying Jesus.

Through the course, these 11 learned to Enjoy Jesus more and pass on what they learned to others.

Within one month of the course, these 11 had trained 95 more people in how to enjoy Jesus more.

So from 3 to 11 to 95!!!

This is the parable of the dominos. This is how the Kingdom expands rapidly.

Of course, the dominos represent real people. So here are some of the people from the Enjoying Jesus course teaching others to enjoy Jesus.

Jackson is teaching his group how to turn everyday conversations into Jesus conversations. He has a passion for this and is seeing people turn and trust in Jesus!

Jan was a fulbright scholar in Industrial Engineering here from Germany. He can explain discipleship growth in really nerdy (n to the 3 power) math terms. Engineering students love it. But the simple phrase Jan repeated in his teaching was “explosive growth!”

These guys are practicing sharing the good news of Jesus. This practice helps them be competent and confident to share with others in everyday life.

JP is unpacking the “I am” statements of Jesus to grow in deeper satisfaction of Jesus. He carries that Jesus smile with him as he goes.

Morgan and Davis are taught 60 people what they had learned in Enjoying Jesus.
Then held small group followups with those who wanted to go deeper.

Ian is teaching them how to practice Thankfulness and how to have a personal worship time with Jesus. These are practices we teach in Enjoying Jesus to help us experience satisfaction in Jesus everyday.

This is the parable of the dominos.

We are praying this movement will spread throughout our city and the nations of the world. That is how Jesus designed it. He is the first domino. We are simply following Him.

This domino impact is what happens when ordinary people take a course that equips them in the simple ways of Jesus.
